3 min read13 Remarkable Disco & Funk Tunes From November ‘18

November gave us a ton of amazing grooves. I’ve collected all 50+ tracks in a huge playlist right here, but since there are so many, let’s dissect the grooves a little.

First up is this bunch of amazing disco & funk grooves. Once you’re done checking these out, maybe you’ll discover something great in ‘Best Party Grooves’, ‘Grooving Talents’ and ‘Chill Beats’. Will have them ready in the coming days!

I hope you dig the selections – enjoy 💃🏼

Cavego – Hafjell

On phone? Hit that “Listen in browser” to stay on Groovilant!

Gonna say this straight-up: Cavego could be the new Todd Terje. The Norwegian producer is so super talented, and with his new EP he’s showing off some amazing disco grooves. Definitely check it all out!

Midas Hutch – Nite Ryder (Japan Bonus Track)

Midas Hutch is taking old school funk vibes and blends it with amazing vocals, electronic vibes, and smooth summer feeling. Support him here.

Gabriele Poso – Everybody Loves The Sunshine (Opolopo Remix)

The Swede, OPOLOPO, is a masterful producer. This one is an amazing disco house remix that will instantly get you summer-groovin’. He was also part of my selection of October’s best releases.

Patawawa – Wires

I featured this single a little while ago, praising it for being catchy and danceable. Almost all their tracks are, and as the band member Sam told me, they will be releasing much more in the new year. Patawawa are going to have a fantastic 2019, I’m sure!

Semedo – Somewhere, Baby

Great groove on this uptempo disco track by Semedo. Could’ve easily be on the party playlist that I also made solely based on November’s dope releases. Lovely drop at 0:52 🙌 Out via the Eton Messy’s label.

Escort – Josephine

Such a vintage disco groove in this track by Escort. Haven’t heard of them before, but will definitely keep and eye out in the future! The post-disco R&B/indie blend is really growing on me.

If you don’t follow this disco act yet, now is the time! This is dance music for grown ups, as they term it themselves – I’m calling it lovely modern disco.

Chevals – Everybody Dance

WOW. You need to give this tune 2 minutes before it takes off, but when it really does – groooovey. Find Chevals on SoundCloud.

LOG & Martin Alix – Wonderland

Yikes. Grab your disco-dancing shoes for this one! Drops at 1:15 and then again after an insane build-up on 3:45.

Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee – Up 2 Get Down

One of the slower disco funk grooves, but so good with the vocals and deeper bass in the background. The solo towards the end is so good. Grab it on a free download!

Don Ray – Got To Have Loving (Disco Tech Edit)

The classic tune in a Disco Tech edit which mean higher tempo and some more bass – great for the dancefloor.

Sweet Fruity Brunch – Paisible Fleuve

Such a smooth house track with insane grooves on the keys. Maybe a little too repetitive for a lot of personal listening, but it’ll work as background music and it’ll also go straight in any warm-up set for the clubs!

Satin Jackets feat. Niya Wells – Lost In Japan

Finally, we end the list with some smooth nu disco vibes in Satin Jackets’ new single which is based on Shawn Mendes’ global hit.

Don’t miss out on the full playlist with more than 3 hours of grooves right here.

If you’re hungry for more discovering of November’s dope grooves, check out the following (coming soon):
