You might’ve have heard the original a few times already, but the two year old future bass original is now a lot different – and it’s a wonderfully bouncy and groovy different.
Even though Denver-based producer and multi-instrumentalist, Alex Medellin, just released a new album in November, there was also time to breathe new life into Break Science and Brasstracks’ cool original.
LNR’s way of exploring electronic music and blending electro funk, hip hop, and soul is the reason I’ve loved his productions for so many years now and always look forward to new stuff.
The new remix in question is no different and together with Brasstrack’s quality trumpets we’re served a straight-up 🔥 track.
Break Science – Anthemy Mason (Late Night Radio Remix)
I think the lovely ‘This Side’ was the first time I heard about Alex. Then after hearing him with The Geek x Vrv on ‘Dreams Of Love’ (absolutely love that French duo) I just knew this dude was one to keep an eye out for.
After several Vinyl Restoration volumes, dope EPs, and one great collab after the other (Kevin Donohue’s a recurring dope name), we were presented the new album which includes—in my opinion—some of LNR’s best work ever. Listen on Spotify here.
This of course means he’s also part of the monthly selection with more than 40 tracks (coming soon).
I hope you enjoy the new remix above and then make sure you check out the full album and some of my favourite Late Night Radio tracks below.
